Where's Toto?
Pre-reading: ask the children to look at the story. Ask questions, e.g. Who can you see in the story? Where are they? What's the animal in frame 6?
Follow the steps for presenting stories - see Introduction p. v. Ask some questions to check understanding and to engage the children. Ask Who is Aunt Sophie talking to? Who is Aunt Sophie's niece? Who is her nephew? Is Oscar friendly? Is Toto in the zoo? What does Toto look like?

Optional activity
Give the children roles and ask them to act out the story.
Encourage them to mimic their character's voice and mime appropriate actions. Let them practise in their groups. Then invite groups to act out the story in front of the class.
