The Teacher's Resource Book provides additional photocopiable worksheets for those students following the Super Minds Starter level. Each worksheet has accompanying teacher’s notes with suggestions for exploitation in the classroom, together with suggested optional follow-up activities.
My family.
Using the worksheet
• This board game revises the structure This is my... and family vocabulary sister, brother, mum, dad. grandma, grandpa.
• Students play the game in pairs. They will need a dice or spinner (see page 5) and counters.
• Students each choose a family card, place their counters on the Start square and then take turns to throw the dice and travel round the board, collecting the different members of that family. When they land on a square with a member of the family they are collecting, they say. e.g. This is my (dad) and tick off that family member on their card. When they land on a member of their partner's family, or one they have already ticked, or a blank square, they do nothing. They carry on travelling round the board in a circle until one student has collected all the members of their family. This student is the winner.
