HI, I’M NINA!
Hi! I’m Nina and I’m from Colombia. We moved to the UK this summer and I've been here for about a month. London is all right, but it still feels strange. It’s very different from Medellin, where I grew up. For a start, there are no mountains or cable cars. In Medellin we have some awesome views. They're both big, noisy cities, though.
I'll start a new school on Monday. I visited it last week, but there weren’t any pupils there as its the summer holidays now. I speak Spanish at home, but I learned English at school in Medellin. I’m worried about the language in the UK as American English is a bit different to British English. I've had an English tutor for two weeks and I've also tried to watch loads of English TV since I arrived. It’s quite funny and it has helped a lot. My accent isn't perfect yet, but I think I'll be able to make friends easily.
