Capitalization.
The use of capital letters is a mechanical aid to clear written communication. When you write, you use capital letters to distinguish certain elements from other elements of the sentence. This section presents in a logical arrangement those elements that, according to custom, should be capitalized. It also emphasizes certain elements that should not be capitalized. Although there are a few principles for the use of capital letters that do not readily submit to reason, you can easily learn the customs to follow by analyzing the general principles and the detailed illustrations presented in this section.
